As with other types of resources, the number and scope of Web Resources that can be found about Mr. McPhee, his books, the Pinelands and Pinelands-related topics is staggering. Below are a only a few suggestions.

Again, Mr. McPhee's Web Site can be found at www.johnmcphee.com, where you'll find a great deal of information about the man and his work.

www.pineypower.com - The subhead for this web site reads, "Presents An Insider's Tour of New Jersey's Pine Barrens" and that it is "Recommended by National Geographic Traveler as among the 'very best links for travel to the area.'" Included here are links to outdoor activities, nighttime entertainment, glimpses of local personalities, folklore, fact and fiction, lost towns, and more.

The State of New Jersey maintains a wonderful web site at www.nj.gov/pinelands which serves as the home page of the New Jersey Pinelands Commission. As you might expect, the web site contains a wealth of information about the region, the state's role in protecting it, information about wildlife, educational and recreational materials, a "Kids Korner," recipes using products found in the Pinelands, and dozens of links to related web sites.
The Pinelands Commission has available an on-line curriculum guide that meets the core curriculum content standards for grades 4-6 and 7-8. They also offer an impressive Information Packet and Speakers Guide.
