an exciting, highly visible literacy program which will bring thousands
of New Jerseyans together by encouraging them to read.
In the Spring of 2003, OBNJ will organize many
publicly attended events in libraries and other locations where readers
will show and share their passion for reading. This inaugural of OBNJ
will attract a great deal of press and media attention at every level.
By becoming an OBNJ sponsor, your organization
can show its support for literacy, libraries and the people of New Jersey
– and be identified with one of the most important promotional events
ever held in New Jersey. Below is information about OBNJ
sponsorship levels, and what your organization will receive in return.

As
a “Book” sponsor, you’ll receive complementary OBNJ
tee-shirts; your organization’s name or logo will be prominently
displayed on thousands of posters and postcards distributed statewide;
your organization’s name or logo – with a
link to your web site – will appear on the Home page and the Sponsor’s page of the OBNJ
web site; your signage may be displayed at, and a representative of your
company may participate in the OBNJ inaugural
press conference with our spokesperson, the First Lady of New Jersey,
Mrs. Dina Matos McGreevey.
As a “Chapter” sponsor, you’ll receive complementary OBNJ
tee-shirts; your organization’s name or logo will be displayed on
thousands of posters distributed statewide; and your
organization’s name or logo – with a link to your web site
– will appear on the Sponsor’s page of the OBNJ
web site.
As a “Paragraph” sponsor, you’ll receive complementary OBNJ

One
Book New Jersey is a New Jersey Library Association program.
As such, sponsorships qualify as tax deductible contributions. Sponsors
will receive appropriate tax information upon request. Checks should be
payable to New Jersey Library Association.
The IRS requires nonprofit organizations to provide a good faith estimate
of any benefits received as a result of their gifts. When a donor calculates
the charitable deduction, the value of any benefits must be subtracted
from the amount of the contribution. If you receive a benefit at a later
date as a result of this gift, you will be informed of its fair market
value at that time. Benefits valued at 2% of the gift amount or $79, whichever
is less, and certain low cost token items are viewed by the IRS as insubstantial
and do not need to be considered when determining the deductibility of
